Located in Italy’s Piedmont region—a region famous for its truffles and hazelnuts—Abbazia is named for an ancient abbey that dates back to the ninth century. Since 1848 the Santero family has produced wines in the coveted Italian Alba and Asti regions of Piedmont and maintained a passion for winemaking.

Over the years, under the expert guidance of CEO Mario Santero, the new generation's members have followed the old way for over a century, keeping the same passion, the same love for nature and for the vineyard.
