With his grandparents in the pub/beer trade industry and his parents involved in the wine business – brewery owner, Ben Cleary, always knew he wanted to follow in their footstep. Having run the successful Pip Stop store for a couple of years, it felt like a natural transition to move from grape-to-grain.
Starting out with a small 1-hectolitre brewhouse at Lanchester Wines with the help of current Head Brewer, Alex, they soon started to work towards the goal of joining the ever-growing and popular the North East microbrewery scene.
After having visited the popular Crooked Can Brewery, he loved the idea of Tap Room and Brewery sharing the same space within a modern yet rustic setting. From that inspiration they looked to create their own venue that captures the hearts, minds and most importantly, tastebuds of the local community, as well as creating a destination for people travelling from far and wide.
Full Circle Brew Co’s 30 hectolitre 4 vessel brewhouse gives the team capability to brew 80 barrels of beer every 12 hours. Combined with its new canning system, they can package
6000 cans per hour, giving total control over the quality of finished product, both in keg and small pack.
As well as housing the brewery, Full Circle’s home in Hoults Yard, Newcastle, features a 100-120 capacity taproom for events and on-trade sales.
